What Cologne Does James Bond Wear?
Floris No. 89 has a direct connection to Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond. Floris No. 007 is an official film-anniversary collaboration. These are two different reasons to choose a Bond-associated fragrance, and two different scents.
Does James Bond Wear Floris No. 89?
Floris identifies Ian Fleming as a regular customer and describes No. 89 as one of his favourites. The perfumery also points to its products appearing in Moonraker.
That makes No. 89 a strong choice for someone interested in Fleming’s own tastes. It does not make an account of the author wearing it a scene of Bond applying the same perfume. The distinction matters if the connection to the books is your reason for buying.

Floris’s address, 89 Jermyn Street, gives the fragrance its number. It belongs to the house’s citrus-and-woods style, with lavender, flowers and moss alongside the woody notes.
What Does Floris No. 89 Smell Like?
Floris’s No. 89 EDT page describes orange and bergamot with lavender and neroli, spicy nutmeg and a woody floral character. Its note pyramid is:

One wearer who bought No. 89 enjoys its citrus and musk and wants to explore more Floris perfumes. Another likes the overall fragrance but finds the rose too prominent. Try it if citrus, flowers and woods appeal; pay particular attention to the rose and musk if you usually prefer a simpler citrus cologne.
What About Trumper’s Eucris?
In On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Bond notices a bottle of Trumper’s Eucris beside a Kent brush and comb in the bathroom provided by Marc-Ange Draco. The surrounding passage presents the English toiletries as a gesture towards Draco’s guest.
It is a real brand reference in the novel, but the passage does not describe Bond putting on Eucris or choosing it as his personal cologne. Nor does the bottle’s presence beside grooming tools specify that it is the modern EDT.
The Official Floris No. 007 Fragrance
The James Bond franchise announced Floris No. 007 for the films’ 60th anniversary in 2022. Floris developed it in collaboration with EON Productions, and its packaging drew on the dots from Dr. No.
The announcement describes citrus and juniper, a smoky aspect, carnation and an aromatic floral heart, with amber, sandalwood, oakmoss and musk underneath. It is an anniversary perfume inspired by the films, with a different composition from No. 89. Check the full name when looking at listings: “007 fragrance” can also refer to other branded releases.

For a fragrance to wear, start by deciding between No. 89’s citrus-floral-woody direction and the juniper, spice and amber described for No. 007. Perfume strengths also explains why an EDT, an EDP and a grooming product should be compared as distinct purchases.
